      Hi,

      Thanks for your question.

      We don’t tend to work with robots on our site, but they do use robots in order to remove radioactive materials such as targets or samples after they have reached the end of their life in the accelerator. Because we do not generate anything radioactive as that requires that (most of our spent items are no more radioactive than the natural background level) we can remove these whilst following the appropriate rules and laws.

      That being said, I have worked with a previous winner of Robot Wars UK – his robot was called Eruption! He works for our control systems division and is in charge of all control systems on site.
