Astrophysics, quantum physics, zoology, climate science, renewables, structural engineering, archaeology, science history, evolution, sociology, forensic entomology, linguistic science/etymology…

There’s not enough hours in a day and not enough days in a lifetime…

I want to carry on studying quantum technology and learn more broadly about the field (I’m currently doing a PhD which is very narrow in its focus)! Hopefully, I will be able to do this after my PhD. I am really interested in learning about other quantum computing hardware as I have only worked with electron qubits and want to learn about superconducting and ion trap and topological qubits!

As well as physics, I am also really interested in science communication and education so I want to study more about how we can make science communication and education more accessible and inclusive.

I’m always interested to see what other scientists are studying, but for the time being I am more than happy continuing to study my area of science as we still have plenty of unanswered questions!

As an Astronomer I have to say… space!
I love exploring the Universe and trying to work out what is going on! In particular, I look at objects called “quasars”, which are extremely bright galaxies powered by material falling onto a supermassive black hole. They are very powerful and one of the brightest objects in the universe so I really enjoy studying them.
