I haven’t done any work in that field, but I did keep a tropical fish tank for many years when I was younger – My advice would be keep up to date with developments within the field of marine biology and make sure to show that enthusiasm when applying for any of work experience/apprenticeships/university courses!

I haven’t done any work with marine biology. The best I can do is that I work in sustainable energy research, and one of the criteria for energy to be sustainable would be that is doesn’t cause loss of marine life (often due to pollution and/or climate change!)

I can also heartily recommend you visit The Deep in my hometown of Hull if you ever get the chance: https://www.thedeep.co.uk/ It’s a really great conservation-oriented aquarium and museum!

Best of luck in your studies. You’ve got this!

That’s such an awesome aspiration and I wish you the best of luck! I haven’t worked in marine biology but I have a few friends who do. If you want to look into degree options for marine bio, here’s a good list to check out: https://digital.ucas.com/coursedisplay/results/courses?searchTerm=marine&destination=Undergraduate&distanceFromPostcode=25&studyYear=2019&sort=MostRelevant
