      Hi! Thanks for your question!

This is interesting for me because the project I’m working on – JET – is stopping operations in the next two years so I do need to think about what I want to do next!

One possibility is working on STEP – a new fusion reactor project similar to JET. This would be cool because it would use all the knowledge I’m gathering now and apply it into coming up with my own designs

Thank you for your question 🙂

So I am currently in the final year of my PhD (which means by the end of the year I will be a Dr!), and I have just accepted a 4 year job to be an astronomer at Newcastle University.
In 5 years, I should have moved on to another university to do more astronomy (maybe even in another country!).

This is a tough one! In all honesty, I’m not really sure where I’ll be as I have lots of things I’m interested in doing after my PhD. The main three things I see myself doing are:
      1. Being a quantum technology researcher in industry
      2. Being a teaching fellow in physics at a university
      3. Being a science communicator/public engagement officer for a quantum technology institute or university

I’d like to live somewhere new, do some travelling and help young women and girls get into science.
